BOO!!! - New Name, Same Amazing Recipes
Quick update on the goings on at Daisy Cake HQ - Recipe Post coming tomorrow for Halloween Brownies.
I thought it was time for a glow-up! And here it is.
Until recently I was working part-time as well as running my cake business, which gave me limited time to make things properly cohesive. But last week was the first week I was again working in my business full-time. This means I have more head space to clarify and neaten up what I offer to the wider world.
I may do a post about working part-time vs full-time in a business, and my experience of both - let me know if it’s something you’d like to read.
Anyway, over the last couple of years things have just been bumbling on. I’ve added things, taken things away, and it was all getting a little in disarray. So, with a little bit of thinking, planning, big bits of paper and scrawled notes, I’ve finally gotten things straightened out. There is a new name for this, my weekly newsletter, and also my membership. There are also other things in planning - namely, a new Podcast, but that will take a little longer.
I’m not going to lie when I say I’m always a little nervous when I release anything new. Even after a decade and a half of running my business, except for baking, I still doubt pretty much everything I do. But, with a big gulp, I’m unveiling this to you, my subscribers first, and I hope you like it.
So what’s new?
The Baker’s Bulletin
Firstly, this newsletter is now called The Baker’s Bulletin. It’s still a weekly newsletter, with a new recipe going out to Upgraded Subscribers every week, and a free recipe to everyone else every month. There will be baking news, hints, tips and recipes galore.
I will also be adding other, more chatty and business posts, now I’ve got the time to stop and chat. I’m regularly asked about my experiences and opinions, and I’m happy to share. I’ll try to keep recipe and chatty posts separate, so if you’re only interested in one or the other you don’t have to wade through stuff you can’t be bothered with.
The Baker’s Club
Next, I am changing my membership. It’s now called The Baker’s Club, and it’s at the reduced price of just £6.75 per month. I got a lot of feedback that the previous price of £12 per month stopped some people from signing up, so I decided to drop the price. If it means more people can join and benefit from some help and advise then who am I to stand in the way?
Members of The Baker’s Club will get access to a members only section of my website. This will include all the recipes that feature in The Baker’s Bulletin, and a few extra, all with a printable Recipe Card. There are posts on baking hints and tips, ingredient spotlights, downloadables to make your baking life easier, bake-alongs, videos and much more.
There will be an email update every month letting members know what’s been popped into The Baker’s Club library that month, but there is also an easily navigable menu called ‘Most recent Posts’ so members can always check things out for themselves.
My goal is to help with faff free baking and business so I’m also very happy for members of The Baker’s Club to contact me for big sister advise if they need it.
And all that for just £6.75 a month?! I dare you to name another membership that’s such a bargain!
1:1 Offers
In November I will also be launching ways that you can work with me 1:1. These will include Social Media Audits, Cake Audits, Half Hour and Full Hour 1:1 slots.
I can help with things like setting up your business, preparing for an EHO visit, weekly production and planning workflow, working through your ideal client and niche market, setting up your cake shed, or if you’re having problems with the baking and/or business and just don’t know where to turn.
They will all be at competitive prices, because I know what it’s like when you’re starting your business and spending money on it seems terrifying. And there will be discounts for members of The Baker’s Club.
Podcast
Lastly, and this is still in the planning stage. But if I don’t say it out loud I won’t hold myself accountable to do it.
I’m going to start my own Baker’s podcast. I currently co-host The Business of Cake Making with my cake wife Sammie. But this will be different - more on that to come.
Tomorrow I will be sending my first recipe post as the Baker’s Bulletin - Halloween Brownies. This recipe will be for upgraded and Baker’s Club members only, so make sure you get in there quick.

Ohhhhh how exciting!!!!!! Your own podcast xxxx
