Easter Bakes Round-up
All the best Easter Bakes from 2025 with even more to come
Firstly I am going to start with an apology for being absent. Our family is currently in the middle of an ongoing emergency. It’s not fully my tale to tell, but anyone on Substack would have seen my Note last week that hinted at what is going on.
I have 2 amazing bakes coming in an email this week: S’mores Brownie and Carrot Cake Swiss Roll - both to make up for the lack of recipes over the past fortnight. There will be another by the end of the week. An amazing Lemon Crumble Slice I first developed over 15 years ago and I am re-visiting for Easter 2026.

But, before all that I just wanted to do a round-up of previous Easter Bakes. I love the season of Spring. There is new hope, new growth and sunshine in the world. And with that goes hope and optimism in baking. Here are some of my best Easter and Spring recipes from previous years:
Delicious, melt in the mouth, Viennese Whirls recipe
Classic British Biscuits that are a personal favourite of mine. They have even been featured as a technical bake on The Great British Bake Off.
Creme Egg Filled Rice Krispie Treats
3 Things make this the BEST Easter treat to make - easy Rice Crispy Treats, Cadbury's Creme Eggs and Chocolate. Creme Egg Filled Rice Crispy Treats are like a Rice Crispy terrine, but I didn't think that sounded quite as yummy but the principle is there.
Battenburg Traybake
First, before I get onto Battenburg Cake, I just wanted to thank everyone who joined me on Sunday for the Live Bake Along of Custard Cream Cake. If you want to check out the replay follow the link below for all the details.
Lemon Buns Recipe
I make Cinnamon Buns every week. But I sometimes think they are a little bit of a wintery flavour - warming cinnamon, is perfect on a cold morning. So I wanted an alternative for summer. And what’s more summery than a zingy Lemon Bun?
Mini Egg Rice Crispy Millionaire
Easter seems early this year. So Easter baking has started early. I tested this a couple of weeks ago, and it sold out straight away in my Cake Shed.
